Nanyang Centre for Public  Administration (NCPA) at Nanyang Technological University is Singapore’s leading institution that provides public governance and administration training programmes for regional and international organisations. Among its 15,000 alumni, many  are holding decision-making positions on all levels of government in their  countries, including ministerial-level leaders, mayors and heads of organisations. Students come  from all over  China and from other nations such as Vietnam, Philippines, Myanmar and Cambodia.

NCPA offers two Master’s programmes targeted at Chinese government officials, namely the Master of Science  in Managerial Economics (Chinese) and the Master of Public  Administration (Chinese and English) programmes, also known as “The Mayors’  Class”, as well as short-term customised executive training programmes to nurture and prepare students for professional, managerial and leadership positions and careers  in government and public agencies.  The Centre also offers the Master of Arts  in Contemporary China (English), an inter-disciplinary programme which is designed to serve the needs of mid-career professionals who  are seeking an empirically-grounded and theoretically-informed understanding of the economic, political, social, and cultural development of contemporary China.

Besides courses,  NCPA conducts and facilitates interdisciplinary fellowship and research programmes focusing on public administration, economic policies, environmental issues, healthcare and social welfare policies, as well as economic development. The Lien Ying Chow  Legacy Fellowship is centred around an exchange programme resulting in a research project that fosters intellectual and cultural sharing in the interests of social development and economy prosperity.
